An inspirational authentic indie artist

An indie artist from St. Augustine FL, Megan McCloud grew up influenced by many types of music genres including chorus, pop contemporary Christian, musicals, alternative, and rap. Each has helped to develop her diverse sound. Megan’s music can be described as raw and relatable to today’s culture. It inspires and encourages listeners to reflect on God’s promises for their lives. Megan is known for her thought provoking lyric driven songs such as “Soul’s Sufficiency” which challenges the listener to rest in God and “Just for the One” which is a tribute to the value of just one person.

Megan developed a love of music singing in school and church choirs and competing in local and national competitions such as Starz of the Future, International Presentation of Performers IPOP! New York and Assemblies of God Fine Arts Festivals, receiving top honors and recognition for outstanding vocal performances. Songwriting soon followed. Megan says that “lyrics have the ability to speak to us in a collection of words that we may not know we need. Melodies transport us to where we should be. Music inspires and encourages my soul and I strive to lift others up in my writing.” God’s assurances are relevant and real in her writing. Megan’s compassionate heart for others and the trials and triumphs of her own life story are reflected in her songs. As an ordained minister in the Assemblies of God, Megan’s strong commitment to her faith is her underlying motivation.

Her music offers a message of encouragement and hope that appeals to all audiences. She has performed at festivals and venues such as the Songwriter’s Showcases of America Daytona’s Mainstreet Live and Deland and Ormond Beach Live Original Music & Art Festival, Murray Hill Theatre main stage and café, Kravis Center of the Performing Arts student events, local churches, American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Stars Mission International events, non-profit organization fundraisers, and homeless ministry outreaches. Megan also partners with organizations such as the Hollywood Prayer Network and Operation Christmas Child. She says they “Continue to humble her as a person and an artist.”

Megan’s current single, "Just for the One" is an official selection of the 2019 International Christian Film & Music Festival and her music video “How Could I” was an official selection of the 2015 International Christian Film Festival. Megan co-wrote a song that was featured in the 168 Hour Film Festival submission “Sea of Chances”. The film was debuted in Los Angeles at the festival.

Megan’s motto “I am who He Sees” is based off her song "What You See". It reminds us that God's love does not depend on what we do or say but is always readily available regardless of where we are or who we are now.

Megan is currently writing new music and looking forward to heading into the studio to record. Her music can be heard online at ReverbnationSound CloudSpotify and Apple Music. For more information on Megan visit her fan page on Facebook at Megan McCloud's Official Fan PageInstagram and Twitter.
